Security Question
I went out to my truck last night and hit the unlock on my key fob and like always the doors unlock. But when I got in my truck there was a flashing red light on the console. I looked in the owners manual and it says security. My truck will not start, the key fob will not lock or unlock and it is like the truck is just frozen. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

RE: Security Question
WOW, I never heard of this happening before with the actual key for the vehicle. The only thing that I can come up with is to try and undo the battery from the positive battery terminal. Leave it unplugged for about 10 minutes, hook it back up, then try again. If this doesn't help, you might have to call the dealer. There might be something wrong with the computer and they will have to reflash it. If you have a spare key, try that as well. The keys are programmed for the truck and something could have happened to the key.

RE: Security Question
Sounds like you have either a loose ground cable on the truck or the battery is almost dead. You might want to try a jump and see if this takes care of the issue. With a loose ground, the vehicle can do all kinds of crazy stuff and illuminate lights in cluster that normally do not come on, but a dead battery can do the same. Hope this is some help!

RE: Security Question
What year truck are we talking about? I had this happen to my truck right after I installed my superchips tuner. Superchips said it was my remote starter that caused this, later it was proven it was a recalled circuit in my remote starter. I uninstalled my superchips tuner and disconnected my batteryso my computer would reset before I could get my truck to start. I reinstalled my superchips tuner and I was problem free for a month then it did it again. Nowthe bad circuit has been replaced and I have not had a since.
