Hello,
New to this forum and in the process of "trying" to buy a new 04 Quad 1500 Hemi (2X4)and am just wondering what everyone thinks of their Dodge Hemi's and if anyone has a Non 4 wheel drive??
I have never owned a Dodge....Jeep, and 3 Ford F150's, but found a great looking "red" 1500 Quad with a Hemi that I really like and am being offerd 9k off of sticker and with my trade in should cost me about 17K plus taxes and Title and transfer. I like the look and am looking forward to the Hemi ( I have never had an engine that big!!!) I do tow my Harley once in awhile so the tow package is a big plus.

I've got a RC 2WD Hemi. It rocks. Make sure you get the limited slip differential though. Unless you do serious offroading you won't miss the 4x4.

 

Alot of people spend the extra cash on the 4wd option, but they hardly ever use it. I don't know where your from or how bad your winters are, nor do I know if you off-road. But yeah try and get the LSD. That'll make up for not having 4wd in times that you need it. And your saving yourself a couple grand too by not getting it.

Your gonna LOVE the Hemi growl.....even the stock exhaust note on a Hemi Ram is SEXY!!!!!! I'm in love with it. [sm=smiley27.gif]

And if your winters are bad....theres always sandbags for the back. And get a tonneau cover....to help with gas mileage and crap buildup in your bed.

 

Oh and the reason they're cutting you such a great deal on it does factor in becuase its a 4x2. At the dealer I used to work at, we used to do anything to get those to move, because people are just so dead set on having 4wd....even though 80% of them never use it.
I forget where that statistic is from.

 

It's great in the winter when they see me in my 2WD and don't have any trouble going where they go.

 

You guys must not go where I go , cause I would never go without 4 x4 michigan upper peninsula snowmobiling ,just on the drive up you would be **** out of luck with 2wd.

 

I bought it today 10/30/04...04 1500 Quad Hemi Patriot Blue, Tow Package, Steel Chrome Wheels, Sliding rear window,Anti Slip, upgraded the tires to 265's from the 245's......after all the incentives and rebates and trade in....$16,500.. I did bring the price up a little by adding some things I wanted ...

ADDED. ITS BEEN TOTALLY TROUBLE FREE AND GOES REEEEALY FAST,
THAT IS ER......IF I WERE TO ACTUALY BREAK THE SPEED LIMIT
WHICH OF COURSE I WOULDNT OF COURSE.
