Default Boze Wedge Alloys

Ordered 20" Boze Wedge alloys, today. 3 weeks lead time. They don't distribute, but custom build to customer specs. Pictures upon install. I went through American Tire, to get the package. Going with 285/50's. The dealer said that I wouldn't have to change out gears (I have 3.90's), due to tire size. Does this jive with you guys? I was expecting to go to 4.56's, after seeing some of the threads. If it's not gonna take away performance and MPG, than I would like to avoid it. He, also, informed me that all I would need to install was a programmer,to adjust for the new wheel size.

I think the dealer can reprogram your truck for you after you get those new tires on. I would still get the new gears anyways. Make sure you post pics when you get those tires on though!

31.2" is the height of your new wheels and tires (285/50-20)

Heights for O.E. package tires available on the 2004 Rams :
30.5" (245/70-17) or
31.6" (265/70-17) or
32.1" (275/70-17) or
32.9 (275/60-20) *note, I am surmising you have/had 17's on your truck, as I would not buy the same size wheels in just a different style

Summary : You will not need to re-gear,or have the speedo recalibrated as at the max differentiation you are less than 1", or about 2% +/- . On a bad note, with the added weight of the new wheel and tire package, expect a 1-3 drop in MPG due to rotational drag.

BTW : HighDuke, here ya go...To go with that bolt sticker you're getting

Thank you. That's what I was looking for. I can compensate for the new wheels, with a programmer, right?
