Towing
If you have the standard dodge hitch I beleave It Is rated to tow up to 5000 lbs. without an Equalizer hitch.. with an Equalizer It's rated to 12,000 lbs. You may have problems with that much weight...also If you do not have a brake controller such as a Prodigy to control the brakeing youcould have problems stopping... good luck... Doug
yeah...it'll be fine, but like the other guys said I like the idea of a waiver just in case...the good ole "CYA"....as far as weight goes, it will have NO problem...i towed a 6000# trailer from iowa to michigan (600 miles) and my truck did great altho gas mileage did suck...got about 10 MPG by the time i pulled in the driveway...good luck!
I will have to say that I'm very inpressed with my truck. My brothers truck broke down when travel. He has a 98 extended cab z71 silverado about 6,000 plus trailer 2,000pulled all over the place to find a good shop.It had no problem pulling it. To me it could pull more. Hell it was begging for it. Dodge got to love it
