Default Onboard Diagnostics question

I knowall cars todayhave the OBD's but is Chrysler the only one that can be read on the dash board? From what I see all the other Cars out there need a Reader. is this true?

Default RE: Onboard Diagnostics question

No. GM vehicles can be read from the dash as well. The Cadillacs don't even need translation for the lights and such. You hit 2 buttons and it will give you the code and a short description of the problem. Not on all codes but the user friendly readings that anyone can understand. At least this was the way my STS worked and my friends Escalade.

Not to sure about Ford and the import world though.
