anyway i was hopeing someone could help me with a code i just started getting.

i have a 03 2500 4x4 5.7L with 48k on it that just started getting a p0138 code. now i know its an oxygen sensor code but i believe my truck has 2 of them, although i can only find the one by the convertor.

is there anyway to figure out which one needs replacement from just the code?

 

yes. i believe that is the downstream sensor which is the one after the cat. check if the harness is loose before you go and buy a sensor.

my buddie just got this cool universal reader from mac tools so we tried it out and it said bank 1, sensor 2.

so i guess that decides it.
