I got the truck back a few days ago. Runs fine now. But i do notice a knocking noise in the front end when I come to a stop and I stop kind of quick. i sure hope the tow truck driver did not dammage the front end. I will have the dealer listen to it next week and see what it is. I was called to pick up the truck and when I got there there was a break line on the dash board. I took it to the service MGR and he turns all red and says "holy ****" I thought they fixed the break line. They kept the truck one more day and then it was fixed. I dont know what to do. I will lose my *** if I try to get rid of it now...So I guess I will keep it for awhile. Good thing I got the extended waranty.

 

I would have some reservations about this dealerships service department from the sound of it. You should have asked for the broken valve spring in trade for the brake line.[sm=smiley2.gif]

 

I agree. I would recomend shopping around for a new dealer to take care of any future dealer work though.

 

HEY ALL, SPEAKING OF PROBLEMS WITH THE HEMI. MINE A 03' QUAD 2500 IS IN THE SHOP NOW. ITS BEEN THERE 2 DAYS, AND THE FIRST THING THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT SAYS "WE THINK ITS A VALVE SPRING". MINE DID THE SAME AS HEMINV THIS PAST SATURDAY, AND AS SOON AS ITS FIXED ITS GONE...TRADING IT IN TO SOMETHING BETTER...THIS TRUCK HAS BEEN BABIED ITS WHOLE LIFE, AND ITS GOT A LITTLE OVER 91,000 ON HER. TO ME THAT IS UNEXCEPTABLE, I PLAN TO WRITE A LETTER TO THE CORPORATE OFFICE TO INFORM THEM I WILL NEVER OWN ANOTHER DODGE PRODUCT AND EVERYONE I SEE WILL KNOW IT TOO. REMEMBER FOLKS WORD OF MOUTH CAN MAKE YOU OR BREAK YOU. DODGE PUSHED THAT HEMI LIKE IT WAS THE BEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD BUT AS MOST KNOW NOW ITS JUNK. I WILL KEEP THIS POST INFORMED OF THE OUTCOME OF THIS INCIDENT.

 

Good thing someone got some use out of the extended warranty...it was just a big waste of money for me! And I'm going to lose some serious $ when I sell my truck! WELL, THE DODGE RAM IS STILL IN THE SHOP, EVERYDAY ITS THE SAME OLD THING "IT WILL BE READY TOMORROW". GOOD OLE DODGE <<<WHAT A JOKE. I TOLD THE SERVICE GUY ABOUT THE OTHER POSTS ON HERE WITH THE VALVE SPRING PROBLEM AND HE LAUGHED AND SAID " OH NO, ITS THE FUEL PUMP ", SO $900 BUCKS LATER THE TRUCK IS STILL IN THE GARAGE, STILL HAVING THE SAME ISSUES. WELL NEEDLESS TO SAY, I WENT STRAIGHT TO THE MANAGER. ANOTHER WASTE OF TIME. HE ACTED LIKE HE CARED THATS WHAT WAS FUNNY.....LATER ON TODAY THE DODGE DEALER CALLED BACK AND TOLD ME TO COME IN...LOW AND BEHOLD THE VAVLE COVERS WERE REMOVED AND GUESS WHAT NUMBER 6 VAVLE SPRING IS BROKEN IT DIDNT DROP THOUGH. SO NOW WERE GETTING SOMEWHERE. HAD THESE MORONS LISTENED TO ME MY BILL WOULD HAVE BEEN UNDER $400, NOW ITS OVER $1000...SO YOU TELL ME FAITHFUL DODGE OWNERS, WOULD YOU RECCOMEND A DODGE.
