A buddy of mine's uncle has a 2002 QC w/ a 4.7. He says is keeps stalling on him when he gets into lower gears like 1 or 2 after he has come down from 4 or w/ever. It did it once a few months ago and they flashed it and that fixed it but its doing it again now but alot more frequently. What could be the problem? I thought it would be the EGR or something but I don't really know.

 

go to the gen 3 dakota section and look threw the threads also the gen 2 durango. alot of people had the same problem and i think it was the egr valve that was messed up

 

Yeah it does sound like your EGR valve. Have you gotten any codes pulled off it?
