We have a 2003 quad cab truck and I was listening to the radio and all of a sudden no sound. I thought the station was having a problem but no sound out of any stations or cd.

Now I can turn it on and it works for about 30 seconds than no sound, I can see who is playing on the radio stationa and what channel I am on but no sound. Every time I try to use it the exact same thing happens.

Do you have the stock radio or aftermarket?

Either way, I would bet that the stereo died on you unless you have an amp that is cutting out.

 

check the audio wiring if it is after market, and if it is still factory take it to the shop and have them diagnose it. It my be $50 or $75 but if it is something simple it maybe worth the investment.

 

if it's aftermarket definitely check the wiring like everyone is saying. If it's not aftermarket, I'd plan on buying one instead of getting it diagnosed for $50-75 dollars. Lot of aftermarket decks are cheep now a days so you might want to check that out. Crutchfield.com is a pretty sick site. check it there.
