While Reversing Moaning Noise
When I am reversing and turning the wheel just a little bit to the right or left I hear a moaning noise of some sort. If I make a hard reverse turn I will hear it then it will quit. As far as going forward I don't hear anything. I read something else about this and some of you seem to say its the rear end. Im call the local Dodge dealer tomorrow on it. Im still under warranty so hopefully that will cover it.
You didn't mentionif the moan is coming from the front or rear orif the moan follows the movement of the truck or just the steering wheel. If it is the steering wheel look at power steering fluid or power steering pump, if it is from the rear I would check the rear diff fluid. If you changed the rear differential fluid then make sure if it is a limited slip that the correct fluid or additive was used. Since it is under warranty just take the advice as info and let the dealer hear the noise. My luck is usually that it wouldn't make the noise for the dealer or the dealer would try to tell you it is normal. If he says the latter let him take you for a drive in a similar truck and make him let you hear the noise.
