IS the V6 enough for the sb standard cab manual?
With the smaller truck is it ok? Or liveable? Ive seen somepeople with the larger Qcab. I imagine it's not enough for them but, the hp/tq rating for a 2wd sb standard cab isnt too bad.
Depending on where you live it's liveable. If I where in the Rockies or something it would not be enough. Sometimes you have to go to 5th to maintain speed up hills but it's good enough for tooling around town in. 1st gear is a dog and 6th gear is a dog but the rest of the powerband is alright.
I have a standard cab manual and think the truck is fine. Sometimes it annoys me with it's lack of power but it really just requires you to shift more often. The powerband of the truck is more like a car than a truck so you have to drop gears and get the rpm's up sometimes but if I do I can pass fine on the highway and even uphill.
May be because the engine isbuilt a whole lot more like a car engine than a truck engine! These motor's are quite light as far as truck motors go. Now my old300 I-6, THERE was a REAL truck motor!
