Default 04' 1500 with hemi

I bought this truck used with 12950 miles. The old owner was in his 60's and said he couldn't take the noise of the dual exhaust he had installed. It's a single cab long bed graphite in color and looks sharp. My questions is, what kind of performance can I expect from the hemi? My younger brother is a mopar freak, 69' superbee and 05' magnum, and says this truck eats ford lightings for lunch. I find this hard to believe. Also, is an aftermarket performance chip a good or bad thing? I could ask my younger brother but don't have hours to listen to his answer. Any replies will be appreciated.
Thanks

Hey, welcome to the forum's, and congrats on your new truck. First thing id like to mention, is alot of people have reported loosing bottom end torque with a dual exhaust setup, do you know what size of pipe he used? I dont know for a fact that it will take a lighting, maybe if you dont stomp on the gas, gotta love that DC torque managment system. Right now there is only one chip avalible, and its made by Jet, but it plain sucks ***. Superchips offeres one for the '03, but not the '04, and Hypertech is working on the '04, but same, its not out yet. Ima leaning towards the Hypertech, they tweek the shift firmness, where Superchips doesnt.

Thats my .02 worth..

The only thing I've noticed with the exhaust is that the windows rattle when I put my foot in it! I did tow a friend 25ft fishing boat, about 6k lbs yesterday and it did a fine job until I tried to take it out of the water, couldn't get grip from the tires. After about 5 minutes finally got it off the ramp. He is a die hard F-150 owner and gat a real kick out of that. I suppose I should take a look under my truck and check out the exhaust. Thanks for responding.
