since ur 1500 is a 1/2 ton payload truck i guess u should stay around 1000lbs. don't u think?

still lmao at the post by tdmopar 59. I agree though. you can haul probably over 8000 with ease but double check with the manual.

o we level out our trailer its just that its full of water, we have 5 mx bikes + parts, gas, not to mention all the clothes and drinks.

Hey there, you guys are still rambling about trailers and he's already specified he's not looking for a trailer but a camper that sits on top of the bed.

well all i gotta say is that a lance camper that goes on the truck is the same price as a 24ft toyhauler trailer and is half the size.

You sound like the guy at the RV store. It's not about size. Yes for the same money I can get a trailer which would offer a lot more room. I want a camper top so I can get into areas with my 4x4 that I could not pull a trailer into

you'll be suprised on were u can take a trailer. plus with all the extra weight on top of the truck, it will be very sketchy goin offroad and up steep hills.

I don’t have a brand name for you, but a couple years ago I looked into a low profile slide in bed camper that you would crank up the top once you were ready to set up camp. This made it much lighter in weight but offers all that a regular slide in camper would have. Just do a goggle search for low profile camper or similar and you should find what you are looking for.
