03 1500 5.9L 4WD LEVELING KIT

anyone know ifI absolutely need this Readylift Leveling kit, or canI adjust my front end hieght by adjusting the torsion key bolts. im trying to put on 285/70/17 tires without getting a suspensionor body lift.is it recomended to install new torsion key. concered because $200 can be spent on something else alot cooler.
