cool. did you make up a new set of spring perches when you did your rear axle? what keeps that spring mount for the bag attached to the spring?

Sweeeeet!!!!! I don't know if you answered any of these questions already or not but i can't remember what exactly was said in your original thread....

How long did the install take? How difficult was the install? Where did you mount the compressor?

dewalt...the perches came with the lowering kit, all i did was weld them to the axle once i got them in the place i wanted them. the lower bracket that the bag is mounted to is inbetween the axle and the leaf spring and it has a hole in the end of it where the locator pin (on the leaf spring) goes.

hanson....install time totalled prolly about 5 hrs as i had to re-fab the lower brackets a lil bit to make it sit farther back like i wanted it to, and you also have to drill (2) 1/2" holes through the frame to mount the bracket. i would say that this install was prolly about a 2.5 on the 5 pt difficulty scale (1=easy, 5=hard). really the hardest part was just doing the fab work on the brackets and then drilling the holes through the frame. this kit does not need a compressor to work, the T-fitting that you see is where both bags hook up and then the one line in the middle goes to a nipple by the lisence plate and you can stop at a gas station and fill em up if you want to (poor man's way of doing it lol)

however, if i do end up putting air bags up front, i'm going to mount a compressor up in the front of the bed so that way i can still retain some use of the bed....but i highly, highly, highly doubt i will put air bags up front...this was mainly done in the rear so i could fit these 22's on here and also to keep it from hitting the frame when going over bumps

Ahhh so they kinda work like the old air ride shocks. Well the install looks great, I've been seriously considering some since my leveled truck sags in the back when hauling any of my toys, i think i would go with a compressor setup due to it being easier for me to just change it whenever need rather than having to find an air compressor.
