Does anyone know what the black box looking thing is under my front center seat? I really cant tell. I have the infinity stereo, is this possibly a sub of some sort? If so its not working....im really not sure what else it could be. Thanks -Josh

 

i'm not sure, i have it also, i assumed it's an amp to power it, I also have the Nav so i figured it needed a good amount of power for that.

 

I believe it has something to do with the 4X4, but not positive!!!!!!

 

I think it might be the occupant restraint controller? Check the picture below.

shouldnt be any kind of amp, the factory amp for the infinity system is behind the glove compartment. It very well could be a controller for 4x4, my truck doesnt have 4x4 and i dont have a black box under my front center seat, just a storage compartment.

 

on mine, im pretty sure its the storage compartment under the center seat.

 

aah, then that very well could be what its for, but riddle me this, on a manual t-case what would you need w/ a big ol box full of electronics?

Rgory, nice diagram , but what that is pointing to is the wrong box, but the big box behind it is the right one. Unless the arrow means for both boxes?
