Default engine performance help

i have a 2004 dodge ram 1500 with a 4.7L engine. ive got an S&B air intake and a PowerMax throttle body spacer. im bout to get a bigger throttle body and a mass airflow sensor. so in other words ive got plenty of air goin into the engine. but i want the right mixture. so i thought bigger injectors. so do you guys know where i can find larger injectors for the 4.7L ? and how big should i go?

I'll try to explain this.

You have a ton of air 'availabe' to the engine when the engine wants it. The engine will decide how much air it wants to make the mixture right.

You only need to give it more fuel and air if you do a major mod that will require it.

You are doing what I did when I was a young buck. Spending a ton of $$ on stuff that people told me would make more power, etc.

It don't work that way. So far you may have gained 5hp. Is the $$ worth it?

I'm not trying to preach, I'm trying to teach from stuff I learned from my mistakes.

yeah i agree with kenihemi....you've gone through some of the steps to getting more air to the engine, but havent done anything to the engine for it to NEED it...you also need to look at an exhaust before you get too crazy with this....just cause it will "potentially" bring in all this air, ya gotta have a way to get it out....i'd start doing some more "major" engine mods that will need all that extra air and fuel before you start putting big injectors on....but if it was me, an exhaust would be next on my list

i agree, the money for power gains youve done isnt worth it. I do think that an exhaust is needed however. For sound id recommend flowmaster 40 dumped, but for performance, Id go with either aero or magnaflow. If You want more power get a hemi
