I have an 07 Black Pearl Metallic paint. I would like to hand wax the vehicle. HOwevre, i dont want to use anything that will mess up the clear coat, make swirls, or mess of the metallic if that is possible.

I useda Meguiars on my white 07 Tahoe and it worked great. I dont recall which on. It was the better one at walmart, it was a purple and silver can I believe.

What does everyone use on dark vehicles and do you get swirls?

 

Kit Carnauba Wax on my Sunburst Orange 07

 

I get a nice, deep shine by layering wax. First, wax with a synthetic. When you get that all shiny put on a coat of conventional. Really looks great. I use Meguire's NXT synthetic and Gold Class conventional.

 

I don't use wax.

I use Liquid Glass, works great.

It doesn't come off as easy as they say it does tho. Hehe

 

Zaino Zaino Zaino Zaino and once again Zaino. synthetic sealant perfect for clear coat vehicles. it's just like a regular wax but it's ten times better. It shines bettter and lasts so much longer.


Loflyer just so you know the meguairs waxes are not pure waxes. they have lots of other stuff in them other than straight carnuba wax that is meant to help take off contaminants. it also takes off the layer of wax beneath it. so really by layering the wax you're just taking offf the wax below it and putting new on. Only pure waxes and sealants can be layered. and almost any if not all waxes like meguairs mothers turtle wax are not pure.
