Ok, so I have a 2003 dodge Ram 1500 v6 3.7. I have already replaced several parts, but the most costly of all has been the leaking radiator. Now I faught and got most of the cost covered and a new radiator installed... and here three months later I have a new leaking radiator!!!!! Really losing my patience with this truck. Has anyone had this problem and do you know a good fix. Please help cause I do love my truck...

Recore or if all else fails and this is a temp fix to get you HOME ONLY put pepper in the Raidator pepper will not disolve in water it will plug miner holes to get you home.

I told my sister inlaw this trick but she blond she keep driving the car did not check the water and ended up burnning the motor up SO Check the water if you have to do untill you put a new raidator in, OH Ya my sister inlaw still saids it my fault Ha Ha.

 

Had the same problem. Was the most frustrating thing. Gone thru 3 radiator in 2 years!!! Finally learned that you must:use distilled water, don't mix antifreeze brands and make sure you properly flush your system. You also need to make sure you don't have a loose ground wire i.e. if you installed something new and didn't ground it right? check all those things and you'll be alright.

 

i dont know if you want to use this information 'cause i saw it on Myth busters BUT....they were trying to see if a raw egg would stop a leak in a radiator. they took an awl and punch a whole in a radiator connected to an engine. they put the raw egg minus the shell in the leaking radiator. they turned on the engine and water streamed out and eventually it stopped. so they declared it as plausible but it seems like it would be more of a temporay fix. now as far as connections and all i would not know if that would be applicable in the same manner but whatever its your truck and you love it.

 

I dont know about having an egg going around my cooling system. I mean, it goes through the engine.
