I replaced my air box with a Liberty Intake for $25.00 just like a system I saw that cost over $100 for the same looking fitting. Yes, it helped me, but I was not going to pay over $100. Its all in the name, you are paying for the name. Just like a Mopar CAI is like $300 and its the same as an aluminum pipe off ebay for $50. You are paying for the Mopar name, or the K&N, or the Airram or whatever. My opinion.

I agree with Hank on one thing, if these are so good, why not added to the car/truck from the production line. I heard that the engine noise or what other excuse. Cheap *** Dodge, that's the bottom line, my opinion. They give you 20" rims, but small break disks. They give you LSD, but cheap retaining clips. They give you Mega Cab interior, but regular cab A/C unit . . . etc, etc, etc.

it all depends on the design of the intake... i only spent 88 bucks on mine and i love it... the stock intake is fine the stock hat on the hemi is whats restrictive i also agree that extensive testing would be great however no one is willing to pay for all that testing on a 200 dollar product... even the 500 dollar varram..

Cheap *** dodge? Are you kidding me? Materials wise, most CAI's sold are a hell of a lot cheaper then the stock box/tube/Hemi hat. Think about it, a simple plastic tube, a direct connector to thr TB, and a shield around the filter, how much cheaper for a manufacturer can you get?

It's been said over and over and over and over and over again. The factory will not install items that make noises that the masses object to, like whistling CAIs and rumbling exhausts. I don't know what is so damn hard to figure out about that.

If the girl in the ad came over and installed it in a See Thru Top, I might think about the $500 price tag.
+1

Aside from that I will stick with my K&N CAI.
