anyone able to put a 305/50r20 AT tire w/o a lift or leveling kit?
Huh? These have less sidewall then you have now, not more. For a taller sidewall without changing wheels you could go to a 285/65 that's about a 35" tire vice 33".

I love my 305 width Cooper Zeon's. Yes, the height is smaller but it makes up for it in acceleration. The tire is still so massive it doesn't look small. Pics as soon as I can wash the truck!

BTW, if you go that wide, you may want to consider fender flares. I've heard stories about what flying debris can do to your paint over time.

Oh yeah - good tire calc site: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

I've never owned a Miata but their tire calculator has always been the most useful.

I dropped my 20's for 17's in order to get more sidewall on my 35" Nitto's. I prefer sidewall to wheel, espaecially for mudding.

I have these (cooper) on my truck...just put them on 2k miles ago...and love em...I would highly recomend them. I have the 275 60 R20, but had the option for 285 70 r20 from discount tire...I pd like $170 per tire.

Can you post a pic?

Did your gas milage change?

My old ram was an 02 1500 sport with 20's. I ended up buying 17inch rims with Lt285 70r BFG All-Terrain T/A KO tires. It was plenty of sidewall. I could drive all over the place with and they looked meaty. I will probably be getting the same thing for my new 07 1500.

You can view it here.
