My 07 has daytime running lights. I think its required in Canada. The lame thing about them is that when you turn your signal light on, the headlight goes off on that side until the signal light stops flashing.

Hi Thanks for the info. im going to try that next week. I just put blue turn signals in and i think it would look good if i can just turn them on instead of having the headlights on at the same time.

Does changing the country code affect anything else besides DRL?

I don't think the older trucks, '02-'05, can be re-programmed. The DRLs for those were hard-wired. I brought my '03 in to get DRL's turned on they said it's not possible.
