Not trying to hurt their sales, and I'm certainly not slamming them because I'm actually waiting for SCT to get the Hemi units out till I install a KRC 210 cam, but I understand SCT pulled a Diablo and put the tuners out WAY before they were ready. I got a PM from someone stating that one of the first units took out a guys PCM (SCT did fix it though and from what I'm told, everyone involved in the sale went above and beyond to get this guys ride going again) and to my understanding, the other units for newer 4.7's are currently $600 paper weights.
Like I said, I'm not trying to slam SCTor anyone else, but at the same time I don't want to see anyone lay out $600 and have nothing to show for it...
I have not dealt with him personally, but have read literally dozens of posts about Hemifever and have NEVER read anything negative about him or his business practices. I am sure he would give you the true scoop before he would sell you one. I also have full confidence thatSCT will eventually have a solid product for not only your 4.7's but my Hemi as well.
I am just writing this so you people are informed and don't spend that kind of money and are very disappointed witha product that does not, as yet, work as advertised. Like I said, I am sure Hemifever would be straight with you up front, but you never know about anyone else who may be selling them...

HammerZ71, you hit it right on. I don't think it was as much SCT sending out 4.7 stuff as it was the dealers being over zealous and selling them w/o testing. An SCT sales person said it "should" work and the tech support finding out later was like...heck no, it won't work.It was adisconnect in sales. I've seen WAY too many things go on with the hemi's that I've learned my lesson. Until I physically see something with my own eyes, I won't believe it. LOL. Folks ask me about SCT and the '03 hemi stuff. I tell them I see all the trans controls in the software and I see how to raise idle and change shift points, but until it's on my '03 hemi and working, I won't even begin to state it's a supported function regardless of what SCT may or may not say about it. I gotta see it firstnow a days. lol

I have turned down a #of 4.7 folks that wanted a tuner even before the fiasco happened. Although, I do have 1 customer with an NGC 4.7 that is waiting on SCT to do some magic (I tempted fate and was over zealous too). I called him before I even sent the tuner and said I was going to just return his $$ but he told me to send the unit on and he'd wait. I still keep in touch cuz when he wants a refund, it's a done deal. I'll still give him the special pricing whenever he wants to buy it back if he wants a refund now.

I've got one customer that has a serious race mod'd engine and has had their truck sitting for over 2 years because of the tuning issues. Even their $500 B&G flash didn't cut it. 2 years it has sat. I'm sending him a unit for FREE to try and get him running. Once it's running, then he'll pay me a discounted price. If I can't make it run, he'll send it back to me. I'm really out here to make things good for anybody who works with me.

 

yes, hemifever and i have been dropping emails back and forth and when it is avail for the 05 4.7 i will purchasing one.
