Tundra hype

And guessing from your sig, it's a Hemi? I imagine the 6er's act a little different than the Hemi does.
And someone that knows a stick inside and out will leave someone with an automatic eating fumes all day long. (I drive an auto too)

umm.. auto is actually a more consistent trans... with the right mods an auto will destroy a stick.. the stick isnt a miracle to make the truck faster......

Nor did I ever say anything about a stick magically making the truck faster. Gives you a lot more control over the shift points, and when you're going stop sign to stop sign or light to light, like I get the impression the OP was, I'd personally pick a stick over an auto for that reason alone. I never said 6ers were faster by any means, because they're not, especially without mods.

Putting a Diesel in a Light Duty truck is a VERY smart idea.....and say what you want about the Tundra's.....they're fully capable of being great trucks. To be honest, I'd put them in a tie with the Silverado for 2nd place in overall behind the Ram......
Let's be fair here.....Toyota has put out a very good truck all things considered.....(the amount of time and development, lack of background in the truck market, etc).
Imagine if Dodge were to put as much time into some of the vehicles that Toyota does...
im sorry devil but i have to disagree there are soo many things i have beeen reading recently about toyota for example consumer reports dropped the toyotas overall quality down the list substantially.... the other thing is there were numerous reports of the toyota's lying about fuel economy found to be gettin 60% of the gas mileage they were claiming.... also may people had the tundra and traded it in already said it wasnt able to handle work at all.... more of a car than a truck...
however i do completely agree with you devil about the dodge's should be getting smaller diesels in the light duty trucks and i believe it is in research so we'll have to see where it goes....

"Continuous Improvement as a way of Life"
is supposed to be the heart of the
"Toyota Way"
The Tundra has already had a couple of 1st year glitches.
Will it have 3rd year glitches?
The present CEO of Toyota used to be the head of the plant at Georgetown KY just outside of Lexington.
The Toyota Board of Directors recently ordered him to slow down Toyota's worldwide expansion until quality problems that have been on the increase are brought under control.

I use too sell toyota a couple years ago, and the Tundra just isnt even close. As a company they are also having problems with other lines including the camry. As it sits, i would put the tundra as fourth of the big truckes behind dodge ford, then chevy. The new chevy is falling apart as truck. Some of the things ive seen tell me the tundra is a car with a bed. Plain and simple. As for a diesel, toyota already backed out of that arena. I thought i read somewhere after 09 dodge was gonna have a light duty V8 diesel for the half tons, would be interesting for sure.
Ford's already doing it as well....
The 09 F-150 will have a diesel from the Land Rover...

Something Dodge wont do because they cant get their head out of their own ***....

To the OP, new Tundra's still come with a 4.7 SOHC V8 and they're still slugs. The 5.7's run pretty good, but all that horsepower they boast is above5,000RPM.
And while I don't particularly care for the Tundra, it is worth mention that they're as American made as the big three (and that's if your Dodge/Ford/Chevy was built in the US, not Mexico or Canada). Same goes for the Titan.
That Tundra dually looks like a Ram 3500 got it on with a Mazda RX-8
