I just bought a 04 Quad with tow package. I can't seem to find the blue plug everyone is talking about. It has the 4 and 7 pin plugs. I looked beside the brake and didn't see it. Is it way up there. Where is everyone mounting there trailer brake box?

 

Its either gone because you got it used. Try the dealer or online for a new one. Prodigy makes prefab harnesses i know. Or it is in a bag in the glove box, or in the storage area under the back seats. That is where mine was.

Do a search. You will se lots of diferent places for mounts. Most do next to the steering column underside of dash, or in the storage compartment under the radio.

I had a guy tell me that there is a digital brake controller that's fit's great in that storage under the radio. But, he couldn't remember the brand.

 

I was looking under the rear bumper and saw a reel of wiring with (3) flat 4 wire connectors. What does all this wiring go to? I still can't find the plug under the dash.

 

Does the factory wiring harness go from the battery to the rear bumper? My flat 4 was unplugged and coiled up by spare tire. It has connection and fuse block. Do I take that all the way to battery? Thanks for the help.
