Rear End Shutter???
Does anyone elseexperience this slight shutter???Here's the scnario, when I stop at a traffic light or stop sign then accelerate normally while turning 90 degrees to the left or right I can feel a slight shutter or shake coming from what feels like the the rear end. It almost feels like driving over a set of old worn down smooth rumble strips. This is the only time it seems to happen and as far as I can tell, everything else is fine.
I have no idea when this started to happen as I purchased this truck used, it has no warranty and has done this since purchase. It's a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 HD 5.7 hemi long box quad cab.

Mine does it too, and has since I bought it maybe 6 months ago. I'll find out soon if it's "normal"; it's going in for a trans & diff flush and fill. Then I'll find out if I'm experiencing any of the all-to-common problems with the stock LSD. 2500's don't have the problem diff so you should be fine.
I'm glad to hear I am not the only one experiencing this shutter!! I would however like to figure out what is causing it, has anyone else experienced this issue??? Does anyone else know whatmay becausing it???

Do you have to be a dealer to look it up? If so could someone let me know what this TSB is, I wonder if it applies towhat I am experiencing in the above post.
My truck did that when I first got it. I have a LSD. Changed the fluid in the diffs and added LSD additive to the rear. Then it went away. Also checked to make sure that the clips were there. Mine checked out good, there wasn't even much on the magnet.
Change the fluid, you will notice a big difference, I did. It worth a shot anyways.
Sorry I forgot you said it was a 2500. They're not the same as a 1500 LSD.

With the 2500 you could still have an LSD. AAM axles (you have the 10.5 inch) has a clutch type and a helical gear type - I think Dodge selects the helical gear type to resell but I'm not sure.

My 2500 does this as well. I've heard a lot of 1500 truck have the "clip" problem in he rear end. I'm scared to take mine to the dealer. Do you think the 7/70 powertrain warrenty will cover this?
