New '07 Ram QC Hemi -- Dealer wants to drive 450 miles to deliver
yea the warranty won't be extended but here's the deal if they want to sell it bad enough they will put it on a flatbed and bring it to you that's just how it is. tell them to look elsewhere for a buyer if they say no. I personally wouldn't want to have it driven 450 miles
every time i've bought a new vehicle with a few miles (our '06 commander had to be delivered and had 73 miles on it when we got it) the warranty was extended to 36,073.
i also agree that most dealerships hire retirees to deliver these vehicles. i know of 2 that i used to work with that do this now, but i know the one can't go more than a mile without a cigarette. i would tell them that if you can smell any smoke in it then the deal is off.
doesn't this come with the new lifetime powertrain warranty? i wouldn't worry too much about it. i got my '07 ram with about 450 miles on it.

What's the big deal??? I bought a brand new 2003 1500 QC Hemi that had just been taken off the truck at the dealer. I drove it off the lot with 1 mile on it, put 27,500 miles on it, including a 4000 mile round trip from VA to CO at the 12k mark. Never had a problem at all!!! I then traded in on a 2004 1500 QC Hemi, drove it off the lot with 12 miles on it, and now have 52k with no problems at all. I never did any break in on either vehicle. 450 miles is no big deal!!!
