Late last week I put an Extang tonneau on my 04 QC short bed 4x4 and I spent some time on the highway yesterday and noticed that there seems to be a high pressure area right in front of the middle bow. This pushes the vinyl cover down in front of the bow which I think will cause the cover to wear in that area and will affect fuel economy. Does anyone have this cover and experience the same thing? Am I worried for nothing? Is there something that can be done to tighten the cover? It's tight enough to be difficult to get the tailgate bar to click in place but should it be tighter?

my dad has an extang on his and i never really payed much attention to it on the highway... it probaly is fine just use the tightest setting you can it takes time before it goes on a little easier you gotta "stretch" it out over time...
