Chips
I am new to the forum and the chip world. Just traded a four cylinder wrangler last week for a 06 Ram 1500 with the 5.7L. Everything under the hood is stock and I was wondering what the best chip is for this model.
I am a big fan of the Superchips 3815, but sometime in the next year or so there could be the addition of a diablo programmer, as well as an sct tune (which would offer tons of control and custom tuning).
yea the main reccomendation on these sites is the superchips flashpaq... the diablo hasnt been out even though it wass supposed to be out months ago...... btw lets see the new truck!

AND SPECS TOO!!!! SC OR QC? 4X2 OR 4X4 (although I'd hate to think you traded in a 4x4 Jeep for a 4x2 Ram).
Take care of the basics first. Get yourself a good aftermarket Cat-Back exhaust, then look into a CAI. Next would come a tuner and maybe by then Diablo & SCT will be out. The tuner is not going to give you near the benefit it could unless you at least free up the air flow first. If you get the Superchips and then the Diablo & SCT get released with just half the features they are claiming, you'll wish you waited before shelling out over $400 on the Superchips.
The normal progression for performance is Exhaust, CAI, Tuner, Gears, E-Fan, Headers, then Cam , so it won't hurt you to wait and see what the new tuners will bring in the coming months, anyway.
