Default ACETONE?????

HEY EVERYONE, I HAD A QUESTION ABOUT ACETONE. BY THE WAY, IM NEW HERE TO THE FORUM AND CANT BELIEVE HOW MANY POSTS ARE UP EACH DAY.

WELL, NOW ABOUT ACETONE. HAS ANYONE EVER USED IT IN THEIR GAS TANK?

IVE HEARD THAT IT SUPPOSE TO INCREASE YOUR GAS MILEAGE BUT I HAVENET YET TRIED IT AND WANTED AN OPINION. THANKS.

well it has been tested negative on mythbusters and i would imagine that it could be damaging to many components... and btw[sm=welcomesign.gif] to the forum and feel free to introduce yourself and post some pics of your ride!

That's nothing I have ever heard of. It does not seem like it's a good combo otherwise there would be a ton of information about doing this. I would do a little google to see what that comes up with.

The engine and fuel components of the truck were not designed to have acetone run through them. Gasoline ONLY.Acetone may in fact errode or soften some of the plastic parts.If you want your truck to run better, keep to the tune up regimen, and consider some performance mods. There's LOTS of people here that would be more than happy to help out. From small HP increases to all out HUGE HP machines.

i would not try it, but i a guy i work with's friend puts it in his lil rice burning honda (only one Tablespoon per tank) and swears by it... my buddy said he wouldn't try it either though... and it's not just acetone, it has to be pure acetone.
