Front Tow Hooks
ORIGINAL: cmoschip
Yep, they're expensive. My 03 15000 didn't have them so I found the bar on Ebay - forget the price. My 2500 didn't come with them - found them from a Dodge dealer on Ebay for $103 - easy bolt-on. No need to drop the bumper for the 1500 or the 2500 I had (have)

My 06 required u to use the same bolts as the bumper. How did u get away from not droping the bumper????
All I had to do was take the black plastic thingy out from just above the bumper to mount the grille guard that bolts to the tow hook holes. So I'm sure that's all that is needed to put the tow hooks on. Unless they changed things starting in '06.
Mine is a 1500 with factory hooks. It's a one peice cast bar. It's a little tougher than just welding a couple generic hooks.
Oh and the best color is Black. Once you go Black, you never go back. That goes for coffee too.

I put on the factory tow hooks on the 07 Ram 1500 2wd in under an hour, including dropping the bumper. They come welded to a plate that goes from frame member to frame member, very strong, and a PITA to home fabricate. Not only do they give a nice place to hang a chain or rope, they stiffen the front end.
spend the $100 or so, and no shipping if ordered through the local dealer.
