Default Jet Performance

Hey all, I've noticed that a lot of you guys with the v6 ram have the Jet Performance Chips Power Control Module (PCM). I just bought one and it came today. I was just curious to figure out if I would need some sort of computer programmer to adjust all the settings or if its just a plug and play sorta deal. Any thoughts or opinions?

No leave in the truck It is agains the firewall on the paas side of the truck just disconect the battery before you try to in stall it unplug the wire harnes from the ECU plug the jet chip in plug the wire loom in to the jet chip hook the battery back up you'r done.

The plugs are kinda of pain to do it has a safley retainer on it you have to unlacth it irst before it will let you unplug it you pull it away from the ECU them unplug it first time it's kinda hard make sure you relacth the saftey lacth when you put it on the Jet Chip so it will not fall oof when you are driving it.

You like it But It never be a power hose Truck dont expect to much out of it

Yes it did it have little more get up and go But around 2500 RPM's when you'r wide open you will feel it kick in and up at HWY speeds you get to speed easyer and hold speed better.

With my mods I getting around 17.8 to 18.5 MPG pet tank once I gotten 23 MPG on a 254 mile round trip no wind no hills with out the A/C on driving at 80 MPH +.

Like I said it never be a fast Truck but it helps it out.

Indeed. I just got done installing it. Definetely has a better punch than before....but a v6 in a full size pickup is never gonna be used to completely race out. I am just tryin to get a little more power outta the smaller engine.

I see In you'r wrote you have 456 gear set did it help out you truck or waste of money for these under powered trucks of our's.

I have thought about going to a 33 inch tire and lift my self and regearing the truck I just dont want to sink a lot of cash in to this truck just to find out it still sucks in power department I know it never be a HEMI but stock it a DOG.

They are nice trucks butno power makes them no fun to drive around.

With stock tires the Idea gear set up is 410 with 33 inch tires the math saids 456 gears are the way to go.

Is it worth doing the gears or should we just get rid of it and get anouther truck ???????, I dont want to waste $700.00 bucks to find out my self yea or na.

It cost a lot more to get the truck the way I want to set it up at least $4500.00 + Lift, Tires, Wheels, Shocks, Gears, Posi, Ect,This is why I asking this $4500.00 + is a lot of cash to find out you just wasted on a Truck that you should of took that money and used it for part of the down payment for a truck with a V-8, or a USE SRT-10.
