Im looking for some recomendations on mods that will help me get better gas mileage. I know that there is already a post out there like this but I was wanting some info on on '03 1500 5-spd 4.7 V-8. What shows the most improvement for the price?

After just droping in a K&N air filter, and adding exhaust, my last tank was my best tank at 19.2 MPG and I'm very happy about that cuz I was seeing anywhere between 12 - 15 with everything stock. A tuner is next on my list...

19.2 MPG, and that's not goo enough for you? Hell my 4 cylinder only gets slightly better than that!

My Hemi only gets 10MPG.

Wow, what kind of 4 cylinder do you drive, and how?

Yeah what the guys above said. Seems like everyone does exhaust, intake, tuner. I'm a little backwards as I have done exhaust, have a tuner on the way, and have just now been looking at CAIs. Even on my diesel exhaust always seemed to be a first recommended by everyone.

I was getting around 14.5-15.0, then added a K&N filter, and Magnaflow exaust, now it's around 15.7-16.2. That'swith a pen and paper, not the computer inside the truck.

I have an 06 1500 4.7 auto, and with just a tonn. cover and a true flow air filter I have been as high as 19.6mpg, but stays around 18.3 and up. That of course is with my driving 98% freeway and constantly using the cruise control.
