Don't think that these codes are related to overheating. Check all rubber hoses under hood and under body for an evap leak to cure these codes.....

So we have a 2003 4.7l Dodge ram...

Was cruising down the road.. all good.. then made one pit stop and back one the road again.. car started to overheat. Thought it was thermostat, so changed it and ran the truck for 15 minutes no more bubbles in stream. Car is parked a/c on and it started to overheat again. What else could we check to find out what it is ?

Radiator cap off,
turned off engine because the gauge was pegged hot...

Bubbles in the reservoir tank sometimes, then it stops then it starts bubbling again.. Along with fluctuations in the reservoir tank... as in it rises then it falls

When more water gets added, it gets angry.

Here is what i have posted at another forum..

Look at the water pump weep hole, see if its been leaking. Also if you are anywhere near an Auto Zone or something you can buy a exhaust gas tester. Its a little plastic container that has a chemical in it that changes color if there is the pres of exhaust gas. If you dont find any water leaking somewhere and the chemical changes color I would bet money that you have a blown head gasket.
