(2007 Ram 1500 QC)I am thinking about getting some HID's for my Ram i want the 8000K, but there arelike H7's H9's and stuff like that how do i pick which one?? and also i was thinking about getting either 8000 or 10000K for my fog lights can i put them in there and can/will it melt it?

I had a friend of mine put HID's in his fog lights and it burnt through the plastic and shorted all his wires i dont want it to happen to me so help would be AWSOME thank you
