Yep. "Powertrain" is anything that is involved in delivering power to the wheels (engine, trans, transfer case, propshaft(s), diff(s), axles.

They'll of course be real picky about the cause of the failure. Overheating or other such abuse isn't covered by warranty and they will look for any loophole they can find.

ok ... sounds like it's covered ... left it at the dealer today ... anything i should look out for with respect to them trying to get out of it being covered by the warranty???

You shouldn't have anything to worry about, what year and engine is your truck. I will look and see if thereare any TSB's or anything...
