Default Ehaust pipe diameter

Hello,

I have an 03 Ram 1500 w/ 4.7. I was wondering if anyone knew what the exhaust pipe size is? I won't be around my truck for a while [&o]andI'm looking to order a new high flow cat for her. Also does anyone know ifany company makes after marker coilpacks for the 4.7?I'vebeen aquiringa few parts for projects I want to do whenI get home. Thanks

well im not positive about the 4.7 but magnaflow might have a direct fit for ya... i think high flow cats are overrated though and not really worth the cash... also i know my exhaust piping is 3" so you might be there or and 2.5 i would wait for a 4.7 guy to chime in.... and my two cents is save your cash on the cat...

I think the 4.7s are 2.5 before and after the cat. I know they're 2.5 after for sure as the specs on my Magnaflow cat back kit coming in (YAY! [sm=happybounce.gif]) shows the pipe between the cat and new muffler being 2.5" at the cat and 3" at the muffler. If it comes in before this weekend, I'll grab my calipers and double check both for you when I put it on.

Explosives

Penetrating oil for bolts, torch to heat up and pull apart the pipes. If you don't plan on keeping what you're taking apart, I'd say just cut it.
