Default Rear gear guru's!

I've been reading but haven't seen an answer any where so lets try here. I have the stock 17in. wheels and tires, plan on going as wide and tall as possible, with stock ride set up. My question is; will I need a gear change or is my 3.55 going to work. I don't want to lose launch, and gaining is always good. My launch right now is kind of soft, would love more but don't want to lose too much milege. I have read lots of peoples opinions, but I would rather deal in facts.

If you "plan on going as wide and tall as possible", No, 3.55 wil be terrible. Overall tire diameter * .12 will give you an approx. gear ratio for a decent launch/economical setup.

What Gmsucks said, and you are also increasing the weight of your wheel tire combo as well.

This website has a gear ratio calculator that will help you determine what gear you'd need to put in to maintain what you have. You can find the calculator in the tool section.
