Ok here goes the question. Looking to build a speaker box for my mega cab and I talked to a company that has already made the boxes for the mega cabs and they told me that the rear storage compartments had to come out. My question is this: Has anyone taken these out before and if so how hard is it. I might actually be looking at building my own boxes but I would still like to removed the compartments so that I can get that little bit of extra space. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks agin, Steve

 

If they're anything like the ones in my RC, they are held in by a few bolts in the floor.

 

this is what I was being told but I have not had the chance to get out and take a look to see what kind of undertaking that it was going to be. Thanks for the input.

You might also have to pull the corner trim loose too. its just a pain to get in suck a small space.

There is plenty of room behind the rear seats without removing the storage compartments I have 2 12" subs behind mine and it sounds great I just added extra wire so I could move them foward and still get into my storage compartments. There is no way I would remove the storage thats just me though.
