Off road tires on stock 20's? Help Please!
I have a buddy who has the Quicklift on his '06 and have been in it about 5 or 6 times. The salseman is right that the better highway ride your coil-overs give over a torsion bar would tend to nose dive more than my '04 torsion bar setup, (that's the trade off). However, I don't noticemuch nose dive in his at all. He has his set on 7. Are yours set too soft?

Before i start a new thread on this...
I have an 06 and want at least 33's, but really 35's All i have is a leveling kit and air bags. Will they fit, and. What kind of backspacing will i need. I was going to get wheels online. all i want is 17 or 18 inch. All they list on discount tire is the stock rim size, i dont know what backspacing to look for.
17-8 by 5-5.5 is what they list for stock

And even more complex...I spoke to 4 wheel parts about switching out the Rancho Quicklift for a normal leveling kit because I am not happy with the amount of nose dive that the truck still has. The sales guy spoke with the "tech" in the shop and he said that all of the 06-07's have a little nose dive even with the other more conventional leveling kits. Is this true??

I have an 06 hemi qc and I put the 35x12.5 Cooper Discoverer STTs on my 20" factory rims and LOVE IT. Not a lot of noise, herad they work great in the mud and I get compliments on the look all the time. I used a RevTek lift on the front to level it out. They cost around $60 and did EXACTLY what i was looking for...leverled the front with the rear and did not change my ride at all (from what I can tell from the seat of my pants). The only issue I have found is that the tires rub the arm on the inside of the tire. I'm thinking about 1/4" - 1/2" spacers but heard a lot of negative things about them. I think 1/4" would still allow me to use my stock studs but if I went with 1/2" I'd look into getting longer studs.
When my new rims come in hopefully in a week i am going to run the cooper zeon ltz's in a 305-55-r20.. great rated tire and a nice aggressive look to them, not pricey like the bfg at's....i put a 305/55/r20 on my stock rim the other day at my buddy's shop and i had no rubing with a leveling kit....maybe a leveling kit is the solution here.
Just mounted Mickey Thompson Bajas Atz. Like em so far, and look sweet.
33 12.5 20 on my stock rims. Full crank hard turn in a parking lot will rub a little.
