Default Problem with blower motor?

When I turn my fan on hi I get this bad vibration through the dash and also a loud hum. Anyone else had this problem? Maybe the bearings inmy blower motor are bad?

I have the same thing but I know what is causing mine. My fan cage is cracked where it slides onto the motor shaft andthe fancage is not centered. If I turn it on high the balance of the motor goes wacky and gives me the vibration. I need to fix mine too, because it is getting colder and I want heat blowin like theres no tomorrow.

Thats the most likely the problem, or you have something stuck in the squirrel cage throwing off the balance.

Not really. I have a '02-'05 Haynes Manual, heres its step by step
1.On passenger side, remove lower dash panel under glove box.
2.Disconnect electrical connector from blower motor, then remove retaining screws and bolts.
3.Lower motor and fan out of housing.
It says if there is damage to either you have to replace it as an entire unit (go figure), and all this should be done with the negitive batt terminal disconnected. Hope this helps you Xtreme.

Funny. Found a plastic peice in the cage on mine. It was really easy to take out. Three screws and a plug.
