i am looking at getting a procharger for my truck, but i like to go off road, like deep water and mud (muddin), and i noticed that the intercooler (air to air) was mounted behind the bumper, i need to know if i go into the river, i will not damage this system. any ideas, advice? thanks.

 

its rather similar to the radiator... as long as everything is sealed and functions correctly it should be fine....

 

td is right, it is simply another hear exchanger. The only thing I would be concerned about is the possibility of sucking in water. If you blow an IC hose when you are indeep water, you will for sure hydrolock you motor. Is there a water/air cooler you can get instead? Those tend to sit higher in the engine bay.Also, make sure you keep that air filter high and dry.
