when I try and set my cruise control my truck accelarates hard, i tried slowing it with the cancel button and the decel buttons on the steering wheel but it would only shut off with the brake or by turning off the cruise. Now it is not wanting to set at all, when i have the system on and hit the set button the cruise light goes out and will not set or come back on until I restart the truck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You just need to bring it into the dealer. Looks like you are still under warranty. I can’t live with out my cruise control when on the highway. Red

 

yea see what the dealer has to say electrical things like that are a total PIA to work on.......

if all else fails get a nice brick to rest on your gas peddle

 

Are the 06's drive by wire? But it definitely sounds like your computer is a little confused.

I don't like cruise. I get an uneasy feeling everytime I try using it. This past summer I did a 3000 mile road trip in 9 days. Still couldn't bring myself to turn it on.

 

See if your horn will work. If not, you probally need a clock spring...
