Default Grill Treatment

I gave my 04 a new look - I paint bombed the Grill - going with a Silver and Black theme - I figured this was cheap before I spent the $ for a black billet grill - What do ya think?

Yes - just the outside -I sanded the grill itself with 320 grit - to dull the finish hopefully to give the paint more bite. Then taped it off around the grill with 1 inch 3M tape, then I used 2" regular masking tape to cover any of the paint \ body.I gave it 4 to 5 light coats until it was covered. Useplastic or newspaperbehind the grill or you'll have paint everywhere - this cost me about 30 minutes in cleanup. I used Duplicolor Low Gloss Black Engine Enamel part number DE1634 from Autozone. Any overspray was cleaned up with a small cloth and light rubbing compound. Thanks!

Looks great! Mine truck is silver but I have a chrome grill and original honey comb grill. I have been thinkingof painting the chrome silver. It sure looks good on your truck.
