my friend has a 2003 ram and he wants to clean the throttle body and how exactly do u get to the throttle body?

 

just done mine on the hemi the other day its just a case of a 10mm socket, flat head screwdriver, a 8mm socket , some extensions for the sockets and away we go
pull the neg battery cable off the battery next pull the connector from the sensor onthebig plastic cover of the hemi if it is a hemi you cant miss it its on thefront left as you look at it
now remove the tube from the hemi air intake from the box and the cover if its stock and remove get the 10mm socket and extension there 2 bolts on it to undo and then the big cover just pulls off out of the way now you see the throttle body there 4 bolts and a sensor on it disconnect the sensor use the 8mm socket and extension and undo the 4 bolts and off the throttle body comes now what i did was i got a old plastic container and put somebrake cleanerin it drop the throttle body in and using a shop towel clean it but be careful not to touch the sensor when it was all shiny and clean let dry for 15 Min's or so while i wiped out the air box and the back side of where the throttle body sits then putting it backis just the reverse whole process takes around 25- 30 Min's easy job to do just wish i took pics when i did it to help you out but i didn't
