on my 2500 front u joint and axle, dodge calls for it to be lubed every oil change, I rented a hoist at a self service, do it your self garage and as luck would have it, anothier dodge 2500 ram owner was servicing his truck..


My front U joint is solid, ( hemi ) no grease nipple or area to insert a grease neadel, but the othier guys 2500 ram ( CTD ) had room to insert a grease neadel..

I don't have the link, but theis pics in the diesel fourm high lighting this proceadure, my u jpoint is not even close to the one pictured

Booth Ram 2500s are 06, I susepect mine has the older style u joint before dodge went to this goffie set up.

If possiable rent a hoist, lfift the front wheals and this will make finding the neadel fitting dam right quick ( if its thier ) .... turning the front drive axel exposses the U joint
