Let me clarify......support rails....I mean the cross member supports for the cover. The side support rails that run the length of the bed are no drill and attach to the inside of the rail. Rubber all the way around in regards to contact with the truck bed....soft and no damage to paint.

I have a Access Cover and it is awesome, closes in seconds, is water tight, and rolls up out of the way in seconds.

are all snapless tonneau covers velcro? does it last? i'm a little leery about using velcro to keep a tonneau cover on.
The Extang TuffTonno has a vinyl rib that fits in the side rail (see www.extang.com). I'm kind of in the same boat...it seems like that would work better than the velcro, but it sounds like the velcro one's aren't a problem either...
