I recently found that one of the two o2 sensors on my 4.7 ram had been resting on the exhaust and it burnt through the wires. It had tripped the cel and I purchased both o2's new. I replaced them after several gruling hours (someone stripped one of them out previously).

After resetting the codes and so on, the cel appeared again. It is as if I never replaced them. I am forced to beleive something else is damaged upstream on the wiring.
Does someone have any insight?
Does the wiring go directly to the ecm?
Please forgive my terminology if it is incorrect, I am new to Dodge and trucks for that matter. My 4x4 manual selector also is in the correct location, but it says 4x4 is engaged. The only way to make the lgiht go out is to put the selector in 4x4 4 wheel high.

My gas mileage is really suffering and I am inm desperate need of help.
I purchased the truck this way and am trying to widdle all the problems away.
