Default Mopar Tool Box Brackets
'04 1500 Quadcab
Owners manual says I have to use Mopar Toolbox Brackets if I want to mount a toolbox in my bed. Anyone have experience with this? Are the brackets really necessary?

I have a 2004 1500 ram straight cab and i just installed an alluminum (sp?) saddle lockbox. It just used a J bolt that mounted under the bed rail. No mopar parts needed. The lockbox was not by mopar btw.
