need help. 05 3500 under heavy accel smokes black smoke and ping really bad. air filter and fuel filter fine, no diesel leaks detected any ideas?

thats right spud, its a turbo diesel

 

Thats what they do, The black smoke is incomplete combustion, all diesel's smoke when you lay into them stock. The ping might be just a normal diesel engine sound, can't tell unless I hear it, CTD's can be loud. Good luck with your new oil burner.
